We were recently contacted by a luxury resort and spa in Sedona, Az who had a problem. They had tried more than four different ways to infuse aromatherapy into their Steam Rooms at the Spa over the course of the last few years - but nothing had worked. They wondered if our Shower Steamers would work in a steam room and I knew they would. My only concern was the size of the room and how moist it would be inside. I set to work formulating a recipe specifically for resort spa sized steam rooms and delivered them for testing just a couple days later. Using a larger mold than our individual steamers in the shape of a botanical leaf, an increase in citric acid so they would activate with less water and a tad higher concentration of essential oil and menthol, Emerald Bathery was able to produce a lovely Steam Room Steamer.
The question was, would it work? The steam room at the Spa is set to run from 8am to 8:30pm automatically. It was large in size but I was encouraged by how moist it was inside. I arrived at the Spa and we placed a couple on trays in the room at 8:30am precisely. We chatted while we waited to see how they would work. I hadn't tried steamers without a true splash of water on them so I wasn't sure how exactly the would perform. At 8:37 guests began to arrive for their services so we needed to move out of the lounge, we decided to take a step in to check. The Spa Manager ventured into the room, returned moments later with a huge relaxed smile on her face "The aroma, it's surrounding, i took two steps in each direction and I could smell the aroma everywhere!" I was so pleased I was able to solve someones problem. I asked later how they performed over the course of the weekend and the reply was "Impressive!"
